share your art work as an ideal gift

Custom picture frames make great, one of a kind gifts.

Creating custom picture frames is a great gift idea. Not only is it cheap, but it’s a great opportunity to share your art work as an idea gift. Even those people who have everything can always use a quality picture frame, especially if it’s designed for a particular family photo or memory.

It’s especially ideal for the apprentice on your list. With a custom picture frame, your apprentice is not longer confined to mainstream approaches and can specially design a frame for their particular artwork. With a custom design, there’s no reason to compromise. You should never have to compromise your art, and that includes the frame you use to showcase it. The frame can be designed to encompass a particular piece, adding to the unique qualities of each.

It all begins with proper matting. Matting helps you figure out the final dimensions of the completed frame, so it’s an ideal place to begin. It helps you figure out the size and the scope of the frame, as well as your preferred stock. Although pre-matting services are available, matting your own work is more economical and creates an individual touch that’s much more personable than standardized matting. When making frames for friends and family, matting your own work can really cut down on costs, as well as give you individual control over the final product.

The next step is to select a stock. Scrap piles are like gold at the end of the rainbow, virtual treasures of chance. It’s important to match the color of the lumber with the stock. They should complement the other, with neither overpowering the other’s actual presence.

Stock should be ripped to width, at least an inch to an inch and a half wide. Anything else looks like garbage. Just because you didn’t pay much for your own custom picture frame, that doesn’t mean it has to look cheap.

Frames can be made for particular art work. Sometimes an apprentice begins with the frame and then creates the perfect art to go inside it. The more you go with your own design, the more ability you have over how it aligns with your art. The choice is yours. Make it unique.

Sales Outsourced? Can It Increase Your Sales Numbers

Sales Outsourced? Can It Increase Your Sales Numbers

With sales outsourced, can you actually increase your companies business? The answer is an implicitly yes. In fact, more businesses are thinking about outsourcing their sales – in many different types of businesses.

Why are sales outsourced usually? In many cases, businesses choose to outsource sales because they want to lower the cost of training employees. If businesses don’t have to worry about things like health benefits, vacation time and sick days, this increases profits exponentially.

The businesses where sales outsourced really make a major impact are those who have inside sales forces, eg, those salesmen who never meet their customers. These types of sales jobs can easily be done by experienced salesmen from anywhere.

Sales Outsourced: What Happens During the Process

A business can choose which of its sales divisions it wants to outsource. What usually happens is that a business will transfer all of its daily functions to the sales outsource firm hired.

Does it mean that the in-house sales force is eliminated? It depends on the business, but not usually. Most businesses use an outsource firm to handle some duties, while keeping their in-house sales force on for some duties.

For example, the outsourced sales firm may be charged with handling cold calls and appointment setting, while the in-house sales force is in charge of these warm leads. For this reason, a sales outsourced option is not only a viable way for businesses to save on employee costs, it’s an excellent way to use existing resources too.

Sales Outsourced: Types of businesses That Typically Use Outsourced Sales Forces

Customer service businesses perhaps pioneered the use of an outsourced sales force. As the internet and computer age grew, technology businesses started to use outsource sales force. Market research firms are also big users of outsourced sales forms.

There are many others too, eg, human resources, sales, accounting, etc.

A Look at the Arc Welder

To gain a fuller understanding of what an arc welder does, let’s first get a brief overview of the history of welding. It will help you to see clearer how the profession of the arc welder evolved as a profession.

A Brief History of Welding

Welding is a process by which certain materials – usually thermoplastics and metals – are fused together. This is usually accomplished by melting the materials together. Then, some type of filler agent is used to form what’s known as a weld puddle around the fused parts. Once this cools, it becomes a reinforced joint of sorts.

It wasn’t until the conclusion of the 19th century that welding began to undergo changes. This was the beginning of the need for the arc welder. Until this time period, the only type of welding done was forge welding. It had been used by blacksmiths for hundreds of years to join metals. As seen in many westerns, this was done by pounding them.

Arc and oxyfuel welding were the first new welding processes to come on the scene. After World Wars I and II, these and other types of welding became popular because they were not only reliable, they were low-cost as well.

The Rise of the Arc Welder

As welding technology continued to develop in the first part of the 20th century, the need for the professional arc welder grew.

There are two very common types of advanced arc welding – MIG welding and TIG welding. Each requires a different type of arc welder, ie, a MIG welder and a TIG welder. The difference is in how they work.

A TIG arc welder fuses their parts together by grasping a welding rod in one hand and an electric torch in the other. A MIG arc welder uses a semi-automatic process to join their materials together, eg, a wire feeder instead of a rod.

An arc welder is a highly trained professional, and works in many different sectors – from manufacturing to construction.

Stimulating Simulations

When asked to name a Florida animation company, many might respond Walt Disney, given that Disneyworld is in Florida. Yet Disney is headed far from Florida, in Burbank, CA. What’s more, animation for entertainment comprises a tiny fraction of all the animation done and displayed in media within the United States. So while someone responding that Disney is a Florida animation company is somewhat correct, the real truth is that the best animator is a company that’s doing animation for commercials, infomercials, corporate media, and on a freelance basis for certain specific entertainment applications.

In these days of Pixar and Dreamworks, hand drawn animation is next to unheard of. But many of those same hand animators of the Lion King and Alladin era weren’t computer savvy and they needed jobs, so hand animation is still provided by some of the better video production companies. Yet computer animation is by and large the standard these days, as any Ratatouille can tell you, and its advantages are many.

First, computer animation is much cheaper than hand animation, with few exceptions. (Those exceptions are those that implement expensive graphics platforms that aren’t necessary for most normal applications.) A pair of animators can accomplish in one day what it would have taken a team of animators to accomplish a week to accomplish twenty years ago. Then there’s precision. Computer graphics platforms allow animators to animate objects in three dimensions – like architects – on three axes. The result is a virtual ‘object’ that can manipulated and rendered with realistic three dimensional detail without suffering from the imprecision of a hand animator’s special perception. Third, animation by computer is also preferable because it is able to “simulate” objects that we cannot normally display with clarity. For this reason, commercials for toothpaste will often employ an animation for teeth and abrasive elements in the toothpaste because it would be difficult to photograph in a mouth and the effect of the abrasive components would be hard to depict, never mind that mouths are not exactly the most beautiful things to look at.

In short, while animation for entertainment is what we’re most used to seeing, animation has applications far beyond the big screen. Commercials and also instructional videos both employ animation on a broad basis, and require far more animation than the big movie houses produce. For this reason, many animation companies have sprouted up to handle the needs of media buyers – even in Disneyworld’s Florida.

African-American Beauty Products, Black Cosmetics and Black Hair Care - Are They Really Different

I’m often asked if there are really any differences between skin care products based on ethnicity. Truthfully it’s really not so apparent on the front side but after a little thought, I think we would all agree that Blacks and Whites have very different needs. Let’s talk about that.

Let’s start with the elbows. Being Black myself, I think one of the first hard lessons we learn is that we’d better not be caught ashy; especially our elbows. There’s just no way to hide ashy elbows if you are black. Quick! Grab the Vaseline or lotion and get busy. White folks get ashy too, you just can’t see as well and no one really seems to care. So right off the bat, we know that African-American beauty products need to moisturize. Right? A close look will tell you that Black cosmetics should moisturize. What about skin care products for Whites? Well, it’s not the same.

One chemical you will find in white skin and hair care that you won’t find in quality African-American skin care products is alcohol. You sure won’t find alcohol in good Black hair care products. Alcohol is meant to strip oil out of the skin and is prevalent in cosmetics and shampoos for whites. They need to strip out the oils because they naturally produce skin oils at a much higher rate. How many times have you ever seen one of your Caucasian friends grease their scalp? Never!

This gives a really good starting point knowing that there are differences in needs of various ethnic groups. That said, it seems to me that African-Americans stand alone with regard to skin and hair care needs. So the next question should be this. Who are the majority of cosmetics formulated for and why? That’s easy. Business is made for profit and with 90% of the population being other that African-American, it only stands to reason that the 90% is low hanging fruit for retail sales. It also stands to reason that to save money, almost all of those companies formulate their base materials the same and simply change pigment to pull in sales from Blacks and Asians. That makes it doubly important to find companies that know the difference and manufacture to the needs of all.

Ask yourself this. How many White people can take care of and style black hair? Not many, that’s for sure but how many Blacks can cut White hair? A lot. Right? I think it stems from the same reason that for so many years, Whites loved for Black women to raise and feed their children; to groom them and to clean up after them. I’m not talking about a Master mentality but a trust factor. Also that Blacks cared enough to learn how to groom White children. So what we are dealing with are manufacturers that don’t care enough to learn how Blacks care for their skin and hair.

Lately, a lot of companies are experiencing great success by finding niche needs and serving to that need. Well, 10% is certainly a niche market and one company stands head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to African-American beauty products and African-American skin care. This name has been around for a long time and has recently opened a cosmetics division that does not require a cosmetology license. Joe Dudley founded this company years ago and was the originator of the Jeri-Curl. His Daughter, Ursula opened the Dudley Cosmetics and has paid very close attention to the needs of us.

I always look for companies that serve the African-American community and will feature many of them in future articles. Remember to support those who support you.

Brain Injury Lawyer, When Do You Need One?

Many people think a brain injury can’t happen to them. But it can. And the potential severity of this type of injury makes choosing a brain injury lawyer critical. Before making a final decision on which brain injury lawyer to use, keep these statistics in mind to help guide your decision.

Each year, more than a million Americans are treated for brain injuries; between 80,000-90,000 experience long-term disabilities as a result of traumatic brain injuries; and more than 50,000 die from traumatic brain injuries.

Automobile Accidents and Brain Injuries

Automobile accidents are one of the leading causes of brain injuries in the United States. Whether you’re in a car, truck, SUV or 18-wheeler, an accident can cause a brain injury – even a slow-moving accident. Many people who suffer brain injuries in automobile accidents don’t even realize that they’ve done so, especially in so-called mild cases. This is what makes this type of injury so dangerous. And this is why you need an experienced brain injury lawyer.

Left undiagnosed, even a mild brain injury can lead to long-term serious health issues such as memory loss, severe headaches, personality changes and loss of sleep. The symptoms can last for years and lead to job loss, skyrocketing medical bills and the need for long-term healthcare. A seasoned brain injury lawyer can ensure that your rights are protected so you’re in a position to get the help you need – not only today, but into the future as well.

Does Your Brain Injury Lawyer Know the Following?

Any brain injury lawyer you?re considering should know certain basics. These include the difference between mild and traumatic brain injury; the long-range implications of your type of brain injury; and how to combat defense assertions that your brain injury is not serious. An experienced brain injury attorney is well schooled in slicing through complicated defense arguments, understanding complex medical jargon and researching multi-faceted cases that involve experts from many professions.

Learn to fight

There’s nothing worse than feeling incapable of defending yourself against someone who would want to do harm to you or your family – either through physical violence or through robbery, extortion, or kidnapping. With handgun laws becoming more and more restrictive and with crime on the rise as the economy softens and the unemployed turn to drugs, defending yourself and your family has become harder than it has been in years. So wouldn’t it be great if there were a way to defend yourself without an illegal handgun, a dangerous pepper spray, or a precarious burglar alarm? In other words, wouldn’t it be great if you were your own secret weapon?

It may sound ridiculous but it truly is possible to make yourself the deadliest weapon in the world with adequate training in defensive martial arts like karate or jiu jitsu. And through rigorous training you’ll not only acquire the know how necessary to disarm and ‘neutralize’ any attacker, but you’ll also walk away with the peace of mind that comes with knowing that anyone who would do you harm would be sorely mistaken to do so because you have what it takes to render them a non-threat. Training in martial arts indeed then lies at the ideal intersection between practical use and self-help because as you master the practical use of self-defense you are bound to feel better about yourself as an independent and invulnerable individual and as an athlete who is able to endure intense physical and psychological challenges in order to reach the goal of being a top-notch defensive weapon.

Thankfully, getting top quality martial arts training in Dallas is easier today than it has ever been. With large, accredited institutions opening up around the city – many transplants from larger cities that are lead by the best American masters who have spent years studying their arts in Asia – it is no trouble for someone looking to improve his or her fitness, self-esteem, and ability to defend him or herself and family to find an academy that will teach a variety of martial arts in either a pure or cross-disciplinary format that will invoke a variety of different techniques from different ancient martial arts.

In summary, I would highly recommend to all residents of Dallas or any metropolis to get some martial arts training. If we all took martial arts lessons in Dallas we would surely all be safer, healthier, and – with all that improved confidence and self esteem – a whole lot nicer to one another.

Teeth Whitening

In the growing world of cosmetic dentistry, teeth whitening is a very sought after procedure. Generally valued by men and women both alike, whitening (or bleaching) treatments can be available to satisfy every budget, time frame and temperament.

Whether it is in the form of a one-hour bleaching session at your dentist’s office, or in home use bleaching kits purchased at your local Wal-Mart or drug store, teeth whitening solutions are very popular. However, only 15 percent of the population has tried the cosmetic procedure, and what is more, misinformation on the subject is everywhere.

The whole idea of it is that teeth whitening does work. Virtually every person who opts to do this cosmetic treatment will see moderate to substantial improvement in the brightness and whiteness of his or her smile. However, teeth’s whitening is not a permanent solution and will require maintenance or touch-ups for a lasting effect.

Bleaching vs. Whitening, What is the Difference?

According to the FDA, the term bleaching is permitted and to only be used when the teeth need to be whitened beyond their natural color. This will apply strictly to products that contain bleach, typically hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide.

However, the term whitening, on the other hand, can refer to restoring a tooth’s surface color by removing all dirt and debris. Therefore, any product that will clean (like a toothpaste) would be considered a whitener. Of course, the term whitening sounds much better than bleaching, so it will be more frequently used even when describing products that do contain bleach.

Are You Looking For A Copywriting Service?

When choosing a copywriting service, you want to choose a company that knows words will help you to achieve your sales and marketing objectives.

A copywriting service should provide much help in selling your products, promote your services and changing your customer perceptions of all. Words will be the most important part of your sales and marketing communications.

Until the words are well developed and focus specifically on the proposition, any design work will not be of any help.

Even though a lot of very attractive work has been done, the creativity in the words will really be leading the communication. By embracing a words first approach, you will be better able to judge how well the copy is reflecting the brief.

If you have the words right, then the concept will generally be sitting there in the first few paragraphs just waiting to be capitalized by the designer. The real experts in any field talk about the subject in a clear and straight forward fashion, using a simple analogy to put across detailed ideas. In addition, they will respect that ability in others.

With well defined messages in the body of the text, everyone can exercise a degree of objectivity in judging how well the images support your text and message.

If the design allows information to be retrieved from the web or printed page in the right sequence and with the right emphasis you have truly been successful in your copywriting services.
